Product Review – Phiten Power Sleeves
What’s in this stuff? Aqua Titanium, I’m not completely sure what it is, but it works for me and a lot of others. I’ve been able to try a new Phiten product, the X30 Power Sleeves. They weren’t really made for
the legs but the large fit my lower legs. They are X30, they have 30 times the Aqua Titanium then the regular Phiten tape I was using. This product worked great and I will be running the Ragnar Relay with them on. They aren’t compression socks and I will have to review some compression socks soon but the Phiten Power sleeves kept my claves and shins feeling great and that was running hilly marathons and training runs, very demanding on lower legs.
At a price of $19 each or $38 for the pair and a month of runs, no slippage and my lower legs feel great with them on. You can find them a PhitenUSA.com Take a look.

Pristine Hydro – My Choice for Water
I’ve been on the Water Hunt for a while now. I want to drink good, clean, alkaline water. I tried different ones and after my research choose Pristine Hydro. Maybe this video comes across a little pitchy but it wasn’t meant too. I just want you to hear the reasons for my choice.
Glen Caulkins the founder and his wife Ginger own a cool store right by the 5 freeway and El Toro Dr called GC 4 Health where you can bring in your bottles and fill them with this great water. Or, you can do what I do and buy a machine to make your water. That’s right you make your water. I made 8 gallons yesterday for the upcoming week.
I’m not going to rag about all the chemicals we drink every day in our bottled or tap water because you already know it. I just wanted to present my findings and choice after months of research.
If a Pristine Hydro system interests you, please let me know and I’ll set you up with a discount as they are working with me to provide SoCalRunning.com members with a great deal. Steve@SoCalRunning.com

LA Marathon 2010 – Start to Finish
ullScreen” value=”true” />
Why watch it in parts. You gotta love YouTube but they limit the time length of your videos. Viddler doesn’t but they don’t have the deal with Facebook and other sites. I know 16 minutes seems long but heck the marathon is 26.2 miles and takes hours. In fact, over 7 hours for me this day. I did take a couple hours at Mile 18 to help man the Sole Runners Holistic Aid Station.
If you want to run a marathon join the Sole Runners – The only marathon training program that uses ChiRunning® and yoga for your best experience.

LA Marathon 2010 Part 2
Part 2 is my experience after working 2.75 hours at the Sole Runners Holistic Aid Station at mile 18. Coach Gary tells why he had such a great time helping other marathoners and I run in with the back of the pack. I have never finished at the 7+ hour mark before. i meet a lot a great people and learned a lot. There are interesting stories. Watch and see why this race and the the new course attracted so many runners that gave it their all to cross the finish line.
